Dave Westwood of Harold Westwood Concrete poured our backyard patio in the summer of 2019. During the following winter, we noticed that water was pooling on it near the foundation (at the time he poured it, he assured us this wouldn’t happen because it would be graded so the water would run away from the house). I e-mailed Dave twice about the problem, but he did not respond. Despite multiple attempts, I was unable to raise him on the phone, either. Frustrated at his lack of response, I finally reached out to his father, Harold. He admitted that his son Dave “wasn’t good about returning calls”, but promised he would prevail upon him to reach out to address the problem. In his defense, he mentioned that Harold Westwood Concrete had recently lost two employees and was simply overwhelmed with work, and that contributed to his son’s lack of response. In any event, it’s inexcusable. I’m not sure I’ve ever experienced such an utter lack of follow-through by any local business.

If you’re looking for someone to pour your deck or driveway and then wash their hands of you, this is probably the company for you.
