Provided by YP.comI frequent Midwest Cyclery, and I have been going there for bike supplies since the late 80s. They are always very helpful.
I came in at about 5:30 (1/2 hour to closing) last night with a problem with my rear wheel. Doug talked with me briefly and gave me a few pointers as well as enough of a patch fix so that I could ride my 18 miles home. He also gave me a few spoke heads to fix my problem at home.
I made it home and was able to fix my spoke, true my wheel, and ride in again this morning. I am very grateful for Doug's help. He has always been very kind and helpful.

Provided by YP.comAll of the staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. Prices are reasonable and service is prompt. I have referred several of my friends to Midwest Cyclery and they have been equally pleased.

Provided by YP.comWhat a great experience. I needed a new helmet as my old helmet lost a battle with my daughter's Corolla. She ran over it by accident. The staff was very knowledgeable about various helmets that they carry and helped me select the one that was right for me. They took the time to make sure that the helmet fit me properly. I will be going back and recommending the store to all of my friends.

Provided by YP.comIt is so nice to have a bike shop that gives a personal touch to their customers. The big franchise stores do not care about their products like Midwest Cyclery does. I have lived in this area for over 20 years and have been purchasing my families bikes and accessories from Midwest ever since. I have always received the best service from sales people to repair people. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you Midwest for continuously caring for my business and my family.

Provided by YP.comWe have purchased bikes and other items from Midwest Cyclery since around 1980. Our purchases from them have included: 3 adult bikes, 2 tricycles, training wheels/helmets/water bottles and other accessories, a bike trailer, a kids trail bike, a bike rack, a Radio Flyer Scooter and sleds. We have had no problem with our purchases or items purchased, no problems shopping, no problems with repair or any service with this shop. Instead, we have found Midwest Cyclery to be very informative and helpful. Whether you're an avid biker or have two young children like us, you'll love the selection of bikes and accessories -- as well as the customer friendly help!! It can be difficult shopping with children and trying out bikes, but the staff is very helpful! And, you know you are walking away with a high-quality bike that is assembled by experts and is warranted. Plus, if you ever need service, they are there to help. It's no wonder they've been in the business this long, they are serious about bikes and taking care of their customers! Whether you're looking for a helmet, water bottle, bike gear, tricycle, kids bike or racing/touring bike, or anything for cycling -- our family highly recommends this bike shop!

Provided by YP.comWhen attempting to spend serious money on a great bike, you would expect nothing less than top notch service....well, you had better keep looking b/c you won't find it at Midwest Cyclery. The staff maybe competent, but they are seriously lacking in the customer relations department.
Examples:
- no explanations offered to review the in's and out's of the new bike, even after I explained that I was a novice rider. The young man explained it was all in the manual & you'll figure it out.
- one employee hung up on me when trying to complete my final order over the phone, maybe an accident, but call back and apologize, especially since you called me.
- and finally, when I went on my test run outdoors with the bike and was obviously struggling with the heavy door, the bike and my bag -- all 3 employees stood by the register and "just watched" - no help was ever offered.
Now chivarly may be dead, but if I was a business owner I would skip, jump or leap to help someone out with a thousand dollars to burn on a new bike.
Bottom line: go anywhere else but Midwest Cyclery for your next bike purchase. B/c if they are this lackadaisical with a new purchase, I can't imagine how they would be for a tune-up or God forbid a return.
