Accidents and GERMS!!!!!!!!!

I took my son and daughter to this place expecting it to be clean and fun, and something different to try! We got there and it seemed alright.. the lady at the front had a little attitude but I shook it off. Then we went around, and the kids (4 and 3) started running around playing.. seemed fun. Until.. my 3 year old got drop kicked by some little boy on one of the inflatables and his mother or a staff person was no where to be seen. Luckily my son being a brute shook it off and kept going.. but still! He got tackled!! And completely on purpose too.. kid just walked up to him and tackled him.

Well about 20 mins later he came running to me with a bloody lip because kids in another one were sitting at the bottom of the slide waiting for kids to slide down so that they could crash into them... a kids foot went in my son's face.

Then.. later when we went to leave I realized my son and daughter both had bruises alllll up and down their shins. It was ridiculous how the staff and parents were letting their children just run a complete muck, .. and no concerns for safe fun. Just running and slamming into eachother and tackling one another. CHAOS! Then one grumpy looking male staff came around blowing a ridiculously loud whistle at a couple of kids..making it look like he was working.. then went back to being MIA.

The next day my son had a very high fever and was told by the DR he had a virus... we could only let it run its course... which for my son meant fever of 101-103 degrees. Cold sweats and chills.. diarrhea and sinus problems. He undoubtedly caught it from the snot nosed kids at that place.. since my son rarely gets sick.

All in all.. I WOULD NOT RETURN. Hazardous and GERM infested place... not worth it!

Horrible Party Place!!

Monkey Joe's is a great place to drop in and let your kids run around - quite the opposite for a party! We decided to hold our son's party there. We got there this President's Day, which was very busy. We were given the party room at 11:30. However, we were not assigned a host. As kids showed up and the front desk told people what room to go to I basically handed out the wrist bands and wrote down their names. 30 minutes went by and still no host. Finally a nice young man by the name of Cecil, who was the host of the party in the next room, stopped by and asked where my host was. I said we weren't given one. He shook his head and said he would check on our pizzas and come back to help set up. He did come back and helped me set up plates. He also offered us the pitchers of pop free. I thanked him and he apologized - he had to go back to the other party room. When our pizzas got there at 12:30 he brought them in and helped serve. He also helped set out the cake and sing happy birthday. After that he had to go back, but he mumbled as he left "if I were manager this crap wouldn't happen.." I agree, Cecil!!

Monkey Joe stopped in, but it was at 1:15, when kids were packing up their things and leaving. I went to the counter and checked out. The harried manager thanked me for helping out with my own party, and I didn't say a word. I didn't want to make a scene. I did however tip Cecil $20 in front of her and said sweetly "thank you for helping out, I know you were hosting the other party."

To sum up - we spent $260 for a party that should have had a host - we never had the inflatable throne blown up for my son to sit in - Cecil tried to compensate and gave us the pop free, but with the ridiculous $15 per pizza price that still brought it to $340...

Never again - DON'T HOST A PARTY THERE - go over to Pump it Up in Elmhurst - private room, private jump area time!!! Much better!!!
