I have been going to King's for well over 40+ years even though Don is a Cubs fan. The service and expertise are first class and the next best thing is he laughs at my jokes. What more could you ask of a barber!

I try to get my haircut here whenever possible. They have very traditional hours and I work in DT Chicago, so Saturday is usually my only option. Like the other reviewer said, you will wait on Saturdays.



Two things I love about it are: 1. It's a classical old school all American barber shop that hasn't seen any remodeling since who knows when, 1955? It's not a dump at all, just well worn, but clean and quaint. The smell of Pinuad after shave and talc is wonderful. 2. You can count on a quality haircut that's consistent with each visit, unlike Supercuts or other franchise places where you never know what or who you'll come out looking like.



Again, bring a book or thick magazine to occupy your time while you wait unless you like Newsweek and Sports Illustrated from 2006.
