Wheaton Public Works Department has more than 90 full time employees and is comprised of five divisions. It is operated by the city of Wheaton and is located in Wheaton, Ill. Its street division maintains traffic control devices and street lights, performs snow removal operations, street sweeping and striping of roadways. The department s Sewer Division is responsible for the routine cleaning, repair, reconstruction, and maintenance of sanitary and storm sewer lines. Additionally, the department provides maintenance and repairs to all city vehicles, including dump trucks, tractors, police squads, fire trucks ambulances and staff cars. Wheaton Public Works Department offers a wide range of programs, such as sewer reimbursement program, sanitary sewer line reimbursement program and shared cost parkway tree program.
