Mooyeon Oh-Park, MD, is Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Oh-Park oversees all of the clinical activities for the hospital and plays a key role in strategic planning and alignment within the continuum of care provided by the Montefiore Health System. Dr. Oh-Park received her undergraduate degree and medical doctorate from Seoul National University College of Medicine, as well as her master of science from Albert Einstein College of Medicine.Dr. Oh-Park has held many leadership roles and directed a number of quality and safety projects, including the Delirium Initiative , which recognizes delirium as treatable in the rehabilitation setting, thus reducing transfers from rehabilitation hospitals back to acute care hospitals. Her research focuses on prevention of mobility decline in older adults, and she has received multiple grants in this field. She has also produced many publications.Dr. Oh-Park previously served as Vice Chair of Education at the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. She has won numerous honors and awards, including the Award of Academic Excellence in 2017. In 2018, Dr. Oh-Park was named one of the most influential women in healthcare by Crain’s New York.
