Chef Tyler - "I've called it The Black Sheep. We are different and our menu is different. We work with local farmers and producers to bring in local and fresh wine, meats, cheeses, and produce, whenever possible. We go to the farms to see how the animals are cared for and the land is protected. We purchase just enough to keep fresh products rather than fill freezers. We are passionate about food."Chef Tyler - "I've called it The Black Sheep. We are different and our menu is different. The Black Sheep is special, and offers something that is increasingly more difficult to find - which is authenticity. This restaurant is REAL and dedicated to delicious 'farm to table' recipes (just taste the difference in the creamy locally grown mashed potatoes!) Everything item on this menu is made with love, in house - whether it is the fried kale, cedar plank salmon with zesty lemon caper sauce, or the salad that is tossed in a easy brandy dressing with candied orange that just zings and delights! The pot-de-creme dessert is so fairly priced - and wow is it delicious - made in house with local cream and fine chocolate.

Every time I have dined here, I have been personally greeted by the owner Tyler - who has created one of the most inviting, magical and unique dining spots in Whitewater.

I recommend The Black Sheep if you enjoy a calm, romantic atmosphere with Jazz music playing, and friendly well-dressed staff who will take extra care making your after dinner cappuccino "just right!" And furthermore, if you really like to taste and enjoy food that has been prepared with love and care - and appreciate local farmers and local business - then this is the place to go for date night, dining alone or family celebrations! There is something on the menu for everyone - whether you are a meat-lover; vegetarian - whether you like safe and comforting or more exciting and avant-gard!

The Black Sheep restaurant is one of Whitewater's secret "celebrities" so I encourage to come here and check it out (make a reservation if possible) - and if you love it - share it!

Plenty of free parking in the vicinity as this place is right down down. Great wine list - excellent beer list - and dazzling cocktails too!

My uncle is a chef and he declined the job offer because of how dirty and just plain disgusting the kitchen was. BEWARE!!

Black Sheep?

The food portions were less than we'd expected for the price. The server was polite, but getting the food out on the table was extraordinarily slow for what was ordered and the amount of customers at the time.
