I've been shopping at Goodwill for about a couple of months and have been very pleased with their select and service. The workers are always kind and helpful with questions about pricing or which color sticker is discounted that day. I understand their struggle to process thousands of pounds of goods a week and I thank them for it.

I have donated to this store many times in the past. NEVER AGAIN. I went in today to buy a workout bench. It was too large for my suv, so I asked for help in dissembling and loading it. The guy whined for awhile then said he wouldn't do it til I paid. Understandable. I asked the cashier if he can't get it apart, can I get my money back. No. Even if it never leaves the store? No. I asked why and she called the manager over and she said that's their policy. They weren't going to tell me this before I paid; they were going to take my money and keep the item I'd just purchased (I'd already told them I don't have access to a pickup). I wouldn't have a problem if they'd just told me the policy, but once that money's in their greedy little hands, it's theirs. My dad used to own a used furniture store, and he had to buy his merchandise (not have it handed to him like Goodwill). I couldn't count the times I saw him give away stuff he'd bought, just because someone needed it. These people have it given to them, and not only do they sell it, if they can, they'll sell it to you, keep your money, and resell it to another sucker. The American way, I guess. Thank God some of us were raised with morals.
