Meritrust Credit Union
2900 S Oliver St, Wichita, KS 67210
The Boeing Wichita Credit Union serves a multitude of individuals who are connected directly and indirectly to Boeing s operations in Kansas. Like credit unions throughout the United States, BWCU is a nonprofit cooperative that is owned by its depositors. In 1936, workers at the Stearman Aircraft Company opened an employees credit union. In 1941, Stearman changed its name to Boeing Aircraft, and the Credit Union was named the Wichita Boeing Employees Credit Union. The credit union continued to grow. In 1989, a new building was opened at its new location, and the name was changed to Boeing Wichita Employees Credit Union. When membership expanded to serve most of eastern Kansas, the company name changed to Boeing Wichita Credit Union.

Provided by YP.comIf someone who banks there writes you a personal check, Meritrust requires you to provide for them and allow them to retain your personal information in a 'profile' stored on their computers. They would not tell me what they do with this information, but if one has i.d. that was always sufficient to cash a check written on their institution in the past. The staff was extremely patronizing and didn't care about my concerns or answer my questions.
