The Par 3 7th is as nerve-racking as 17 at Sawgrass. The atmosphere is laid back, fun and just a unique, challenging golf course with great risk/reward holes depending on the wind. A true diamond in the rough given the saturated market of golf courses in the Wichita metro. Since its affordable, (and still have savings/special deals throughout the year), I routinely play at Pine Bay every opportunity I get. Pine Bay is a par 36, 9 hole public course that winds around a series of private homes and a farm. Fairways are ok, many trees line fairways but they are somewhat open. It is not a long course but the 4 dog leg lefts are difficult for slicers. Lots of water, and #7 is a fairly wide peninsula green that you can reach with a seven or six iron if the south wind is blowing. Pretty expensive for the average man even though it is only 9 holes, $24.00 on weekends. Par 5's are reachable in 2.
