WOW! After having lunch at Sub...

WOW! After having lunch at Subway last week I walked down to Sweetly Scrumptious to satisfy my sweet tooth and man did I ever! Im not usually a huge chocolate fan but i tried the Chocolate Pecan Pie Cakeball they had out as a sample and I was blown away it was rich and sweet and exactly what I was craving! I have visited multiple times and every time the girls working are always friendly and know every little detail of each of their numerous cupcake varities. I love this place, give it a try!

Great location and good stuff!

I went to Sweetly Scrumptious and ordered cake balls and cupcakes. The cake balls were very good and tasted great with numerous flavors. The cupcakes were very good as well and they also have weekly specials. I would recommend this store to anyone interested in trying a bakery!

Soggy & Dry

First I should mention that the cake balls are very over priced. If you want a fine chocolate go to Ceros or Cocoa Dolce,. You'll pay less and get a better product. A cake ball consists of a ball of cake crumbs stirred together with canned frosting and dipped in a chocolaty coating. The chocolate tasted a bit artificial.

I also tried a cupcake. It was dry and since there was just a small squirt of frostiing with a lot of exposed cake. The frosting taste and texture was consistent with grocery store canned frosting, not homemade. You will get a better cupcake at an actual bakery such as Cheri's, Sugar Sisters or even Sam's, Wal-Mart or DIllons..The cake balls looked nice but not a good value for the money. This place seems more concerned about looking cutsie and trying to come up with clever names than trying to make a serioulsy good quality product. No real passion for the food.

Gourmet? Or did you mean "gouge me"

I had the unpleasant experience of tasting these awful balls of soggy cake dipped in a waxy coating. I couldn't get the pasty feel out of my mouth. All I can say is, if you think paying $2.00 for some cake crumbs mixed with something that barely resembles frosting is worth the price, then you deserve to loose your money. This food fad won't last long. The cupcake I tried was dry and a real disappointment, too. Just because you can fool people into paying premium prices for a sub-standard product, does not make it gourmet. This place will have a very short life.
