Provided by YP.comAs my wife and two children walked into, what looked like a closet, check in room my wife and I kept feeling that we just made a mistake by booking this room without reading reviews. First thing we notice was that the website was too generous in the images that we had seen. We had noticed the lack of maintenance around the property, especially on the pool which looked like it had a crack in it. We jokingly laughed, at the condition of the place but thought we'd give it a try (you can't judge a book by it's cover). After we checked in and were in our room, I put on some clean socks, since the floor felt sticky and wet. Walking on the tiled sticky floor consequently made my clean socks dirty. We found there was garbage behind the light stand as I was looking for an outlet to plug my cell phone in, the light stand wasn't even plugged in (there was old food behind the stand, caked dust on the floor and other debris), the power cord line was spliced to make it longer to reach an outlet, and was missing a bulb to add to the fiasco. One of the power outlets we found was missing a cover. The bathroom smelled worse than a public restroom, it smelled as if someone had purposely broke wind right before I walked. My wife made me close the bathroom door since it smelled so bad and my older son had to sit outside since it made him ill. I turned on the shower and the pan started filling with water. The drain was clogged!!! I let the man at the front desk know of this and he came with a toilet plunger into the room and began vigorously plunging as if his life depended on it. Now, to be honest, I don't even use a plunger to unclog my shower drains at home. I use either liquid plumber or a snake. I don't use a plunger that goes in my toilet. He pulled out some garbage out of the drain, showed it to me, and left the room. At that point my other half told me she was about to go sleep in the car with the kids if need be. So she got up, walked across the street and booked a room at the Days Inn. The stress alone that this poor service and unsanitary establishment caused between my wife and I was bad enough. Do yourself a favor and save yourself and your family the hassle of coming here. This is not a clean establishment.
On a side note, I have to admit that the guy who plunged our shower was about to offer to change our rooms but at that point we had had enough.
Be wary of any place that asks you to pay up front for a room that you haven't seen. This is the first place where were had to pay up front. At the Days Inn they just needed our credit card and then we signed for the balance when we checked out.
