I live in a condo where our mailboxes are in the driveway in the back of the building. Our mailboxes on the smaller side, so when we are receiving a package that does not fit in the box, the mailman will not bring it around to the door. In fact, he never even has it on the truck. We automatically get a notification that we need to go to the post office to pick it up. Whatever happened to service? The postal service used to promise delivery whatever the weather; now, they won't even walk around to the front of the building. I have paid for Amazon Prime so I can get packages quickly. Now something that was scheduled for delivery on Saturday has to wait for me to go to the post office on Monday and pick it up. This is unacceptable. What if I didn't drive? What if I was home-bound? UPS and FedEx have no problem bringing packages to my door. I have to assume this is just pure laziness on the part of the mail carrier. However, if it is a policy of the U.S. Postal Service, no wonder they keep losing money.
