Hello, we are a retail nursery specializing in herbaceous perennials and annuals. We also offer a nice selection of water-wise and inter-mountain native perennials, woody plants and ornamental grasses. Our primary gardening customers come from Northern Utah, Southern Idaho and South-West Wyoming. Sorry but we do not ship plants. Our roots began in 1948 as Chadwicks Plants. Byron and Emily Chadwick grew and sold perennials at this location for 41 years. In 1988 Barney and Della Barnett continued the nurserys traditions with the new name of Willard Bay Gardens. Since 1988 the Barnetts have established a solid reputation based on good hardy plants, helpful service and a great selection. Our Willard Bay Gardens customers are gardeners who love and appreciate plants! We at Willard Bay Gardens strive each season to have available the tried and true, as well as, the new and hard to find perennials and annuals. We are members of the Perennial Plant Association, Utah Nursery and Landscape Association, Intermountain Native Plant Grower's Association, Wasatch Rock Garden Society. Barney served for 6 years as the Western Region Director for the Perennial Plant Association. Barney has taught Flower ID at SLCC, USU and BYUI. He teaches PLSC 2600 Annual & Perennial Plant Materials at USU in the fall and off campus in the summer. Barney and Della also lecture for various garden clubs, churches and functions.
