A day after I posted a review on a different website (prompted by the vacation home rentals website I originally booked through), I received a phone call from the owner's wife. Now the original review was 2 out of 5 stars for reasons such as we didn't have TP, a trash can, a shower curtain (they had to go to Wal-Mart to buy one), a or working cable box! The office was also not open during the day. There was just a "closed" sign on the door for two whole days. What if we had needed something?!

She said that she just read my review and that:

"I am a snot with a stick up my a**"

"How dare I"

"I shouldn't judge people"

"Everything in the room was brand new"

"I was not welcome back"

Well, to that I say - you are a business. When you own a business, you open yourself up to possible bad reviews based on people's experiences. It is your JOB to provide great service to people because those people provide you with your living, your money to pay bills, send your kids to school, whatever it may be.

If you are that insecure and that unprofessional, you don't deserve to have a business.

The owner's wife also needs a lesson in ethics. You do not go back through your records to dig up a private cell phone number and call someone you don't even know to cuss them out.

Needless to say, I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and be posting reviews on every website I can find! If I receive anymore phone calls, I will definitely file a police report (lucky for me, my mom's boyfriend is a sheriff in Grand Traverse County :)). Be careful who you decide to harass. :)
