The Golden Horseshoe Golf Club, located in Williamsburg, Va., is a club that features three golf courses, shopping opportunities, restaurants, golf tournaments and other sporting opportunities. The Gold Course, an example of traditional golf course engineering, was opened in 1963 and was designed by Robert Trent Jones. It is an 18-hole course. The Green Course, opened in 1991, was designed by Rees Jones. The Green Course is also an 18-hole course, but its yardage is longer than the Gold Course's. The Spotswood Course is a nine-hole course that was modified in 1963 by Robert Trent Jones. The Gold Course Grill, the club s casual dining venue, serves sandwiches, soups, salads and deserts.
