Rawls Byrd Elementary School was founded in 1965 and is located in Williamsburg, Va. It is one of seven elementary schools operated by the Williamsburg- James City County School Division and offers education to more than 500 students in prekindergarten through grade five. The school provides a variety of enrichment programs, including band, harp, violin, chorus, chess, outstanding citizen, battle-of-the-books, word masters, and odyssey of the mind. Rawls Byrd Elementary School s staff includes music teacher, movement and reading specialist, guidance counselor, media specialist, social worker, visions teacher, speech and occupational therapist. The school offers classes in English language, mathematics, science, social studies, reading, and health and physical education.
