Provided by YP.comAlthough, I was informed by several folks who were picking up their pets from "day care" , that the pets are well treated, I found it highly suspect when I was told that I was not allowed to see where my dog would be residing for 2 to 3 days nor the crate he would be in???????
I was told that I had to call back and speak to the owners, as the young woman was not allowed to take me to where my dog would be staying?????????????
I am sorry, but, that just did not sit right with me!!!!!
I went to another "pet resort" and instantly, was given a tour of exactly where my pet would be living for 2 to 3 days.
A note to the owners, you may run a wonderful facility, but, you sure make someone wonder what you are hiding when you will not allow a dog owner to see where it would be residing, especially when it is for more than a day!!!
Your young/receptionist gal is wonderful, but, she was also embarressed!!!
We have many windows that allow customers to see into our kennel area. We have just never allowed non employees into the kennel area for insurance reasons- it is slippery, dogs are running around and we do not want anyone hurt. The customers can see that we are not hiding anything.

Provided by YP.comWe've been using the Pet Resort at Greensprings ever since we rescued our German Shepherd 3 years ago. This is hands down the BEST place to send your dog for boarding, daycare, and grooming! Our Sasha is always so excited as soon as we turn down the driveway and once inside the lobby goes straight to the door that will lead her to the daycare group. When we pick her up, she is completely exhausted and content to lay around on her bed recouping for her next adventure. We usually have Lisa groom her every six weeks. At home she hates her bath and won't let us clip her nails, but Lisa is magical because Sasha submits to the bath and brushing and even gives Lisa kisses while she is clipping Sasha's nails! Unbelievable. Some comments on other websites have noted that Greensprings costs slightly more than other area boarding. While that may be true in some cases, I don't believe that to be an entirely true statement. Greensprings charges the same as my vet, but provide a much higher level of service and amenities for my pup. Many places that board only let their dogs out 4 times to relieve themselves and Greensprings does this 6 times for at least 20 minutes each time. At additional cost, you can also have their staff walk your dog, have solo snuggle time with the staff, or allow your dog to participate in the all day doggie daycare (we love this option) -- things my vet cannot offier. In addition, if you have a senior pet, Greensprings offers special accomodations and daycare for them. My neighbor opted for this when her regular boarding place was full and said that for the first time her pup came home without any anxiety or gastrointestinal problems. We LOVE Pet Resort at Greensprings!!!

Provided by YP.comThis is the first time I have used this kennel and was very pleased. I was visiting from NY and had to leave my dogs for a few weeks. My dogs were happy and well cared for when I picked them up. Both were bathed and well fed. The facility is clean and very friendly, large play area! Thanks to all for taking such great care of my dogs

Provided by YP.comThis was the first time I've boarded my puppy and i was nervous at first but the girl working up front made me feel a hundred times better. She greeted me with a smile on her face and answered all my question. She also took me on a tour of the facility and showed me the kennel Belle would be staying in and the yards to play in. I saw a group of dogs out with a worker playing fetch with him which I love because Belle loves to play. The staff was great and very friendly. She got a complete groom including bath, nails and ears. She looked and smelled great when I came to pick her up. They even washed her blanket for her. I will definitely be coming back for boarding and to try out daycare. Thanks for taking care of my sweet girl.

Provided by YPmobilethe owner is incredibly rude and sarcastic. Every time I said something, he responded like I was incompetent. Daisy has white hair, and came back completely filthy. I had to give her a bath immediately when I got home. I also had to take her to the vet because she had conjunctivitis of the eye and terrible diarrhea in which she needed antibiotics. This place is extremely disgusting and I will NEVER allow my dog to stay there again.

Provided by YPmobileI've been taking my dog Moose to Greenspring for over 2 years now. I find it very upsetting to see some of the negative reviews some people have made. Greenspring is like a second home to Moose. The staff is always friendly, I never have to worry about him being mistreated or neglected. I even board him there for all of our out of town trips because i know i don't have to worry about him. For daycare 3 or 4 days a week as we are in the car he is so excited because he knows he's on the way to go play with his friends. I love that there is an indoor and outdoor play area for him since he is a very high energy pup. Despite some peoples wrongful opinions of Greenspring I will continue to take Moose there and recommend others to use this wonderful pet resort.

Provided by YP.comI have no idea where these negative comments are coming from in some of the other posts. I have been taking my yellow lab, Noah to the pet resort for approx. 5 years and I couldn't be happier with the look and feel of the pet resort, the superb customer service, the genuine caring attitude (Noah is very spoiled and absolutely loves it there), the variety of services offered, and the courteous staff who treat Noah like a member of their own family. I recommend the boarding services, doggy day care, as well as the grooming. Marc, the owner will take good care of you and your pet.

Provided by YP.comAll seemed fine at drop off - nice staff, got to see the place (well, they wouldn't let us see the section where she was going to be). At pick up, our dog had not been bathed after a 5 day stay and we requested it, we were not told anything about her - she has a problem eating when away, etc. She smelled and looked like she had been sleeping in urine and was filthy, rear end was horrible like she might have had diarrhea. Again, no report on the condition, whether medical, well being, etc at pick up.
Would never recommend this place and will not return again!

Provided by YP.comI would NEVER take my dog there EVER. I was going to let my dog stay there for a weekend and when I got there this one lady was so rude and so unprofessional with her nasty disposition. I love my dog and will not allow someone that will talk to me and be rude to me the way she was sit any animals of mine and when I told her I wanted to see where my dog would be kept she was just nasty and rude so I just left and have not returned. DO NOT GO THERE!

Provided by YP.comA neighbor took her dog here for the first time of kenneling, feeling a little guilty for leaving him she chose the largest, most comfortable (and expensive) kennel offered. Several days into his boarding a relative who usually watches the dog came home early and went to Greensprings to visit him and take a treat. They found him being kept in a much smaller kennel-not the top of the line one paid for by my neighbor! When she returned and asked about this discrepancy, Greensprings said it was just a mistake. I think we all wonder when we board our animals if they are being treated well, especially when we pay extra for longer walks, more play time and roomier kennels. Obviously the pets cannot tell us what goes on when we're not around and we have to trust the facility to do what we pay them for. I have also been told that the owner's preteen daughter is occasionally responsible to walk dogs-I would think a kid would want to get this chore over with as quickly as possible and not take the necessary time to allow a slower dog to finish it's business. Also, if you paid for extra long walks, do you really think someone is watching and timing a kid to make sure they're not rushing through it and giving you what you paid for? Probably not.
The customer in which you are talking about has since returned with her dog to our facility and the dog is very comfortable and happy. The dog loves to play with other dogs. As for preteen daughter she is seventeen and very repsonible just like the other employees of the Pet Resort. We work very hard to make sure the dogs are happy when they are here.
