Our vet recommended Williamsburg Pet Loss for a private cremation for our Black and Tan coonhound who left us due to cancer. I was so impressed by the very quick turnaround time and was a little anxious to go pick up the remains. When I did I was so relieved to find our baby was in a beautiful wooden etched box with her name and special code on the bottom. My last experience was in 2005 with a different vet and company when our previous dog passed. That time the remains were in cloth bag and the cost was also twice as much as Williamsburg Pet Loss. I also went by their office to pay my bill and had a very nice conversation with the owner. It was obvious that this family run business truly cares about animals and having lost pets of their own, have empathy for their customers. I have no doubt that my Sammie was treated with gentleness and love.

I can not begin to thank Jeff, the owner of Williamsburg Pet Loss for the compassion and care he displayed when he came to pick up my beautiful dog. Nico is a 135lbs German Shepherd and we knew it would be difficult when he passed. Dr. Dragon from Four Paws arrived first and Jeff waited outside until it was over. Jeff told me to take as long as I wanted to say good bye to my my loving pet of 12 years. Jeff was so professional and caring as he loaded Nico onto the stretcher and into his van, I knew that he would take good care of him and treat Nico with the dignity he deserved. I know when Jeff brings Nico home next week it will be my pet.

Over the summer we lost another beloved pet and made the mistake of letting our regular vet choose who would cremate her. Five weeks later and she still had not been returned to our vets office. Finally after I threw a fit ,the remains were returned to the vet but I will never know if they are actually my dog. I regret not doing more research before she died, I would have chosen Williamsburg Pet Loss.

I would like to thank our vet...

I would like to thank our vet JP for recommending Williamsburg Pet Loss to our family...Thank You.

When we were informed our baby of 13yrs. "Duke" had an incurable disease we were devastated. Our hand was forced to make the inevitable heartbreaking decision so many pet owners have gone through. We contacted Williamsburg Pet Loss two weeks in advance of the decided upon date. I guess I'm old fashion, but I wanted to meet the people going to perform Duke’s cremation. I had to see them to be sure I trusted them with our Duke. The owners were extremely nice, and their compassion for animals was without a doubt their first priority. We got to meet their dog Jezzy who goes to work with them every day. And learned our oldest daughter went to HRA with Jeff, who grew up in Williamsburg. Needless to say the uneasiness we had prior to meeting the owners quickly turned to gratitude. Their office was about a mile from our house, knowing that also provided an added sense of accountability. Duke left us on a Friday morning at 10am, very peaceful at home with his family. Williamsburg Pet Loss came to our house and sat with us for about an hour. We talked about Duke and showed them some pictures of then Duke the pup. Duke’s favorite chew toy…my old running “shoe” (guess where the other shoe went) accompanied Duke to Williamsburg Pet Loss. Jeff and Autumn said they would have Duke home to us by 6pm that evening. Honestly I was skeptical, it being a Friday, but they kept their word and Duke was returned to us at 5pm. I guess the whole point of me writing this is say Williamsburg Pet Loss helped us through the most difficult time in our lives. If others feel the same way we did about our Duke, I would strongly urge you to contact the owners at Williamsburg Pet Loss. Thanks Jeff and Autumn, we will tell all of our friends about your service. Williamsburg is fortunate to have you.

My wife and I lost our best fr...

My wife and I lost our best friend of 15 yrs., Zoey (a white Maltese) to a terminal medical condition. We knew that letting her go was the right thing to do and we trust our vet's advice. We wanted her cremated so that she may remain close to us. Our vet recommended Williamsburg Pet Loss (whom we had never heard of at the time) again, we trust our vet. After meeting the owners in person, at their facility in Williamsburg it became obvious why our vet's recommendation was without hesitation. The owners are a husband and wife team, no employees-they do everything themselves. Very private, the entire afternoon had been set aside just for Zoey, no other pets, she got first class treatment. Of course, that’s what Zoey was always use to anyway, so why should this be any different. She got to take her stuffed animal toy with her, the owners were supportive of this and even encouraged us to bring the toy. Zoey has been back home with us for three weeks, I thought now would be a good time to say thank you to the owners of Williamsburg Pet Loss. You two provided us and Zoey a peacefulness that could only be provided by a person with unconditional compassion for animals and their work. From the bottom of our hearts thank you. We will tell our fiends about your kindness and how wonderful you were to us; We are grateful.
