Located in Williamson, West Virginia, Williamson Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides adults age 18 and older with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder. MAT combines the use of medication to alleviate the physical symptoms of withdrawal with counseling to address the root causes of opioid use. Adults who take part in MAT at Williamson CTC receive a prescription for methadone, buprenorphine, Suboxone, or naltrexone. In addition to medication, Williamson CTC provides a therapeutic component in the form of individual and group counseling sessions. These sessions focus on various topics, such as coping skills, emotion regulation, and relapse prevention to promote lasting recovery.
