Cedar Ridge Children s Home, a special education facility, provides residential and day care services for emotionally disturbed males aged seven through 21 years. It places residents in cottages staffed with houseparents, overnight awake staff, and weekday and weekend associates. The school provides treatment services through various procedures that include counseling, therapy, therapeutic recreation and adventure programming. It also provides students a range of recreational activities, such as midweek youth groups, summer camps and special outings. The school is approved by the Maryland Department of Education to serve students with primary disabilities of emotional disturbance and other health impairments. Cedar Ridge Children s Home is located in Williamsport, Md.
