About 10 years ago I was tasked with finding a contractor for a project at my workplace. I went with Barry Eck Contracting because I had a good rapport with Mr. Eck during our initial meeting and because he ended up quoting me a better price than other contractors I had contacted. Mr. Eck has been our go-to contractor for all of our projects ever since. I’ve also used Mr. Eck to do work at my home. Mr. Eck replaced the sidewalks at my house, and I’ve never heard concrete described as “beautiful” before, but that’s exactly how my neighbor described my new sidewalks when she came over to get my contractor’s information so that she could use him to replace her sidewalks. On my recommendation, my sister and her husband have used Mr. Eck to do work on their rental properties, and found his advice and suggestions to be very helpful. The recent storm caused damage at my parents’ house, and when I contacted Mr. Eck to see if he could do some emergency work, he said he would be happy to, but suggested that I might want to call around to other contractors because he was extremely busy and didn’t think he would be able to get to the job right away. The other contractors I contacted were either too busy or quoted me a price that I thought was deliberately high because it was an emergency. I called Mr. Eck again and told him the trouble I was having getting someone, and he made a special effort to carve out time in his busy schedule to get to my parents’ job by the end of the week, and he charged us a reasonable price. Will definitely keep using him and recommending him.

HORRIBLE!!! Hired by landlord to repair waterline and put in new copperline tubing due to water company's new mandatory pipeline. They dug up yard, hit the porch, destroyed sidewalks. They put in line and left the yard in shambles, didnt repair porch. Havent replaced the sidewalks and gave the excuses that they had to wait for the dirt to dry. Been 2 weeks and running and havent seen them since. We fixed up the yard as much as possible to make it a little nicer. Had to put dirt by the house to keep it from running water inside to the basement, we still get water. The porch was set 1 week later with a couple of boards to say it was fixed when they need to really repair it. As for the sidewalk the boards that they put there (was the landlords) are now destroyed because they are over where the destroyed sidewalk is supposed to be. They took the broken sidewalk to repair it. Have yet to see it back to where it should be. Porch yet to be fixed and area by house is still yet to have dirt.

I've used many different contractors over the years, and Barry Eck Contracting is by far the best. He went out of his way to accommodate me, got the job done fast, and did a beautiful job.
