Located in Willingboro, N.J., the Screening and Crisis Intervention Unit offers emergency psychiatric services. The unit serves as a primary preferred means of access to state and county psychiatric inpatient facilities. It provides crisis intervention, evaluation and referral services for individuals with mental disabilities in the community. In addition, the unit offers clinically appropriate alternatives to inpatient care. The Screening and Crisis Intervention Unit provides a variety of outreach, medication monitoring, follow-up evaluations and psychoeducational services. The unit is located in the Lourdes Medical Center, which is owned and operated by The Drenk Center. The Drenk Center offers services for children who suffer from behavioral, truancy and school problems. The center provides assistance to individuals who are physically aggressive and homeless.
