This studio is amazing! I am surprised by any negative reviews that this studio might get. The studio is packed with students (at all times).

My child attends classes here at Pak's and he is 11. He enjoys classes, and has improved in both his confidence and his self discipline. He is getting better grades and making more friends (so he shouldn't have to fight). He talks about being like the instructor all the time. The energy and passion in every class is incredible.

I can't recommend this studio enough, but really don't take my word or anybody's word for that matter. Check it out for yourself. You will be glad you did.

This is quite interesting. I ...

This is quite interesting. I was on here rating Walker's Feed Store and found this lovely tidbit of whatever it is, because it is senseless. I think I have a clue on the 2 disgruntled comments and to that I say, "SIGH". I tell you what. I have been with PAKS for 3 years with my son and we are now finished with the program due to my health issues, but we completed my son's black belt. He worked hard for it. He gave it his all; blood, sweat and tears at Junior Olympics. Just typing this makes me want to cry, because if not for Master Franklin and everyone at PAKS, in good times and in bad, they were family and they did help us get through and not by purchasing a belt, but by picking my son up and taking him to tournaments, as well as sponsoring him in tournaments when I could not pay for it as a singe mother. Mr. Brad picked up my son after my stroke and drove him with his son to PAKS and without all of the HELP I received, my son would not have gotten his black belt. Having this ending and closure is melancholy to my heart and I will always hold them all dear. When it comes to the comments about moods and dispositions, I would say the only ones I have seen is when the caca hits the fan and order needs to come about with the class and that is all a part of self-respect, honor and dignity. You cannot teach those things with lollipops and kisses. Thank God your kids were not in Singapore or Korea, where they would get a nice slap with a stick. Did you consider it? I thought so. I am proud of my son and all of the people at PAKS. Thank you Master Franklin for all you did for Daniel. Goodness...so sad.

Pak's Martial Arts in Willis texas is hands down the best Martial Art school I have seen. Pak's has done so much for my son not only with learning the art but also with self confidence, self asteem and as with everyone involved in Pak's, he carries himself with a muturity beyond his years. This is due to a srongly structured and well rounded program with excellent instructors.

I had a job transfer and had to move away and one of the biggest factors of whether to commute or move was not wanting to pull my son from the Pak's family. I have since visited a dozen or more karate schools in my new location and nothing compares with the well rounded and complete program available at Pak's martial Arts in Willis.

Paks martial arts is more than just martial arts instruction and self-defense, the owners and staff dedicate themselves to help these children succeed in all levels of life. Although, this is not an extra-curricular activity affiliated through the school district, Paks is very interested in seeing the children’s report cards as well as being aware of their conduct in school. My step-daughter started here almost a year ago, I can personally tell you within this year, I have seen herself-esteem improved beyond words as well as excel in school. In addition, her motivation, drive and physical strength has evolved tremendously. The discipline and structure that as parents we all work to instill in our children is also being applied here at Paks. If you have questions about this school I highly recommend you to come see for yourself I know you will not be disappointed.

Paks has always treated us with compassion and encouragement. No matter what our size or strengths, they empowered us to do amazing things we never thought we could! My tiny tiger was hard to deal with and they kept working with him until he was ready to do what he needed to. I am a bigger person and they worked with me and my limitations with encouragement and respect. I never felt too fat or weak and they cheered me on the whole way. I did pay for my belts, with sweat and hard work.

Great school for all ages

Ive read some of the other reviews and can say that I wish people would check out the school and see for themselves. The instructors really care about the students and want them to do well so there is a lot of positive encouragement. Every student is taught to have a strong work ethic, respect for others and themselves as well as training their bodies. Students have to work hard to earn their new belts and have a strict set of things that they must be able to do in order to advance, money will never allow you to advance when your not ready. I can guarantee you that every black belt can do a lot more than just push ups!! That is one of the things I appreciate about this school, you have to work hard and earn your belt, it will never be just given to you. I am appalled that someone felt that you could because every student has worked hard to be at the rank they are!!

Paks participates in community events and does great things to help out people in need every year. So, check it out for yourself and talk to the people that are currently in it because you will see that it really is a great school for kids and adults.

So it's not just me.... My kids went to Paks/Willis a few years ago. I wanted to see if things had improved since we quit. Sounds like they are still giving belts for money. If that weren't bad enough, sounds like they are still moody, self centered and not great with kids. Its a shame. Oh well. We will just have to keep driving to Conroe. Micheal Glass at the Conroe Rec Center is very good with kids. My kids have worked very hard for their belts (they would say too hard ;). My only complaint is my drive.

If you do not want to have to ...

If you do not want to have to work for a belt, then you are good to go. They are real lazy with the students and I was amazed at how they let students who did not make the mark advance to a higher level. I see black belts who cannot even do push ups. If you can pay for the belt, you can advance. Unfortunately, there is not much to offer unless you go to the Woodlands, so you are out of luck if you cannot go that far. I guess by comparison as far as back woods comparisons go, this is the best place, but the instructors are shallow, moody and that is really unprofessional.
