Extremely expensive, paid $2,000 for a cast on our puppy, which includes $400 per X-ray, but does not include follow up X-rays. After receiving this bill, I went around to two other local specialists, and one out of town clinic, and asked for quotes according to the invoice breakdown I received from Peak. IN EVERY SINGLE CASE, the quotes were 1/4 to 1/2 the price of what Peak expects to charge. After the initial 6 week period, we brought him back and they informed us that he had to be cast again, as "a precautionary measure" they said...full price, all over again. Two weeks after he received the new cast, we noticed a foul dead animal smell coming from the cast area. Rather than bring him back for a new Xray, cast removal and recast, we removed it ourselves to find several area's of necrosis (dead and decaying tissue due to too tight of a cast and oxygen to the area being cut off) bordering on infection. We brought photo's back to Peak to show them and as to have the charge for the recast taken off of our invoice, just to be told "Those are typical cast sores, it's an assumed risk. There's nothing we can or will do." Assumed risk? By who?

Beware of Peak Veterinary, going there will be an "assumed risk".
