Out of date milk

On Saturday (May 30th) my husband went to this station as he does three days a week to buy his cigarettes and where we buy our gas for all of our vehicles. I asked him to also pick up a gallon of 2% milk.

Sunday morning I got up and began fixing breakfast and looked at the date on the gallon of milk which was now three days PAST the expiration date of May 28th.

I went back to the station to return the milk and get a fresh gallon and was told the best they could give me was June 1st which was the next day. I asked for my money back and was told that I had to have a receipt. No receipt, no money back and that was the end of it.

So, I pulled my car away from the gas pumps where I was going to fill my tank and also fill the 5 gallon gas can that was in my trunk and proceeded to the BP station where I filled up my car, the gas can and bought fresh milk.

In this recession I would think common sense would take over and keeping a customer with two cars and company vehicles as good and loyal customers would be more important that seeing if a customer kept a receipt for a pack of cigarettes and milk. Not the case here! So, it's BP for us from now on.
