I have curly hair that is very manageable. I have medium shoulder length hair that I wanted to get layered. They gave me to this man who claims that he had 30 years experience cutting hair, yet he said that he would never be able to get my hair straight. He didn't even want to attempt to straighten it although he did try to flat iron my curly wet hair. I told him that I would just go home and staighten it myself and I got it straight in 10 minutes and saw what a wreck it was. I went back and had the night manager fix it, but I was let known the the day manager who saw me getting my hair cut earlier in the day could see that the person cutting my hair earlier didn't know what he was doing with my hair, yet she didn't come over to assist and let me leave that way. The last person to cut my hair used scissors and a razor, but when i look at ends of my hair where she used her razor I can see where the hair was ripped instead of cut cleanly by the razor. She literally ripped the razor thru my hair and it makes me think that she isn't skilled in using it. sadly, i now have split ends from a $35 hair cut and will go to a better place to get it fixed in 2 months. Before going here I had smooth hair with barely any split ends. I feel my hair is worse off now.
