Hess's Barbecue Catering has been winning awards for the last 30 years, as they have developed into a thriving catering service and two competition teams. Although already famous in Lancaster County for their BBQ, the Hess brothers decided to branch out and try their hand at `competition BBQ' in 2000. Each brother has his own team and has won at least one award in every single Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) competition they've entered. Although they never compete against each other, the brothers still have the drive to be the best in what they do; and what they do is barbecue. Paul and Lloyd Hess started Hess's Barbecue Catering in 1978. Prior to that, our main business was operating a butcher shop that is still in use today. Our original business was started in 1816, and has been growing ever since. We are now catering up to 70 events a month. We cater anything from exclusive weddings to any style corporate event. Our reputation is built on friendly service and lots of quality food. We have the proper staff and management in place to host your event. Hess's has won numerous local awards, as well as national ones. Our latest event in August 2000, led us to hold 1st place Pork BBQ in Pennsylvania.
