Dr McKenna is quite simply one of the best Docs on the planet. She is extremely knowledgeable and keeps up to date with the latest medical journals often sharing articles with you. When I had testicular cancer she wrote to the specialists around the country to get the best treatment/protocol available. When I was undergoing Chemotherapy she would accommodate my schedule as best she could - even treating me over the weekend. I have now been cancer free for 15 years and look forward to my periodic checkups and dose of advice on how to stay heathy. I can't thank Dr McKenna enough for her care. The only complaint that one may have is that she often runs a bit late on appointments. To me this is not a complaint but a blessing. You see, unlike many docs who cut visits short and overbook patients to make as much money as they can, Dr. McKenna spends as much time on you as needed. She spends time answering all your questions; and if you bring up anything new, she needs to investigate it throughly. When I wait I know that like the patients before me, I will also get all the time and excellent care I need.

Dr. McKenna is 110% dedicated to her profession, is very thorough and detail oriented, incredibly knowledgeable, and caring.
She double checks and questions the opinions of other doctors, having the other doctors explain and support their own diagnosis/opinions.
Spent an average of 1 hour face to face with me for the first hospital and 10 preceding office visits. Now post diagnosis office visits are 30 minutes. She takes
detailed notes and does a lot of follow up and research before/after my office visit. I leave each office visit very confident in Dr. McKenna, and thankful to have Dr. McKenna as my doctor!
She wants patients to be well informed and actively involved in their own health, health care and treatment. She expects you to take notes, have a detailed
medicine list, and come prepared.

Evan before our daughter had a confirmed diagnosis of cancer, Dr. McKenna was at the hospital (on a Sunday) talking to us while our daughter was in heart surgery. Dr. McKenna was there going over our daughters chart. Dr. McKenna always took the time to talk to us and explain everything! There were times Dr. McKenna took our daughters chart home to study it! It always felt like she our daughter was her only patient! She did that for everyone! Dr. McKenna is very intelligent and caring!!
