We travel from Chandler, Tx. to Dallas several times a week and have been stopping at Dukes to get a refill of our soft drinks and occasionally filling up with Diesel. We mainly stop there because my wife appreciates the cleanliness of their restrooms. On Sat. the 12th we stopped and when I went to pay for my refill I was charged the full price. When I informed her it was a refill she said because it was a 52 oz. cup she had been told they must charge full price. After stating my displeasure I paid for the drink and left. I believe in the capitalist system and believe Dukes should be free to charge whatever they wish for anything in their store however I have some complaints and a statement to make 1) there is nothing posted advising customers what they will be charged for a refill bigger than a stated amount. So to spring it on the customer at the register seems unfair). 2) I got that cup at QT....so what Dukes is saying is not only do we give you less for the same price if you purchase a new drink from us we will also punish you for getting that bigger cup refilled. 3) I stated that we stop at Dukes because of the restrooms and to buy a refill and occasionally fill up our tank NOW we will continue to stop at dukes to use their restroom facilities but will forgo any further purchases as long as they feel the need to overcharge at their discretion. Question: How's the new policy working out for you!!!
