Arrogant is an understatement

I received a refund of my own money from a client of this holding company. This is my money that the client of BNY took out of my account in error. I wanted to avoid the 5-7 day hold that most banks place on checks not written on their bank. This check was written on this BNYso I asked the representative that I spoke to: "How do I cash this check?." The response from the representative was not only extremely arrogant, but offered no assistance on what I should do next.



I know big business and banks have always made themselves good bedfellows, but this arrogance is the reason why Americans need to pay attention to who we do business with. Neither the company who took the money out of my account, or the bank I contacted hesitated in taking and using my money. Isn't it ironic, however, that banks cab hold funds for 7-10 business days so that they can continue to use our money without any penalty to them!



If a bank can't provide friendly and courteous customer service, they wouldn't be holding my investments!
