About Firefly Energy Efficiency Services A word from founder Scott Gromko on his dedication to energy preservation. The roots of Firefly Energy Efficiency Services trace back 25 years through an education and career in environmental science. In my time at Stone & Webster and General Dynamics, I oversaw the cleanup of hazardous waste sites across the country, including collaborating with the U.S. Navy in restoring the San Francisco Bay. I have always focused on leaving the world better than I found it. With the birth of my children, I was inspired to shift from cleanup to more impactful forms of waste prevention. I founded Firefly EES after years of fruitful study and practice in the energy efficiency industry.
