Founded in 1931, Gregory School of Science, Mathematics and Technology serves the academic and extracurricular needs of more than 550 students in kindergarten through grade five. It is one of the first magnet schools in Wilmington, N. C. Gregory School of Science, Mathematics and Technology offers a high-tech educational program that integrates science, math, and technology throughout curriculum. It also provides hands-on learning experience through the use of diverse technologies, including interactive whiteboards, data projectors, and document and digital cameras. The school offers classes in math, art, music and physical education. It additionally has a parent-teacher association, as well as Green Thumb, Dolphin news, Spanish and newspaper clubs. Gregory School of Science, Mathematics and Technology is a part of New Hanover County Schools, which governs elementary, middle and high schools.
