I got a chance to go on a Black River Nature Cruise offered by the Cape Fear Riverboats and it was an amazing experience. I am a local photographer so for me it was a perfect opportunity to get some photos graphs of wildlife in this area. I was actually surprised to see a few deer along the way as well as an osprey perched on its nest and of course a bunch of marsh birds. It was such a cool tour and listening to the narration by a very passionate local ecologist made it that much more fun.If you get a chance to get out of the downtown and see a different side of Wilmington, do it. This is a great tour and well worth the price of admission!

Im a local photographer and took a Black River Nature Cruise with Cape Fear Riverboats just to get out of the downtown and photograph something different. On the cruise we came across, deer, marsh birds, and even an osprey sitting atop its tree top nest! It was such a cool trip, I got come great photos and would recommend it to anyone looking to get away for a bit and relax. Their sunset cruise aboard the Henrietta III looks like the next wilmington boat tour on my list!
