John has spent 42 years in the profession of Architecture and has owned his Practice for 29 years. In addition to being a licensed Architect, he has been a Licensed General Contractor designing and building many of his past projects. He has designed homes, condominiums and apartments totaling in the thousands with a special interest in high-end beach homes. John has designed 85 new homes on Figure Eight Island and renovated another fifty. In addition to Figure Eight Island, his homes may be found in Wrightsville Beach, Wilmington, Landfall, River Landing, Topsail Beach and scattered along the intracoastal Waterway. Commercial work includes many local fine Restaurants as well as a chain of restaurants located within malls located in NC, SC, VA and Kentucky. Other commercial projects include Churches, Banks, Shopping Centers, Marinas, Clubhouses, an 80 bed Assisted Living Facility, several private Educational Facilities and Boat Storage facilities. Remaining a small independent arc hitect, John gives personal attention to the design and costs of each project.
