I enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a medic in 2006 and after serving for 7 years I left the military to become a physician assistant. \n In PA school, I trained in gastroenterology and found the specialty interesting, challenging and rewarding. I worked in primary care for one year before transitioning to gastroenterology, where I've worked since 2019. \n One of my strengths is being able to connect with patients from different backgrounds, understand how their medical condition impacts their life and work together to create a treatment plan. I focus on partnering with my patients to achieve their health goals. \n My wife and I have two young sons. Outside of work I enjoy exercising and spending time outdoors. As a family we try to visit the beach often - typically nearby Wrightsville, although we also love Oak Island. I'm a longtime NFL fan, and the Minnesota Vikings are my favorite team.
