Have been a patient for over 20 years. Dr MacDonald is a great optometrist and really cares about his patients. No better place to get the best eye exam.

I wanted to keep my business local and so I scheduled my exam with Dr. Olding (a younger doctor now working in this office). They were quick to get me in for an exam and the doctor was very professional. However, when it came time to pick out new glasses, that warm "fuzzy" feeling left quickly!



Looking at the frames I noticed nd none of them had prices on them...just colored dots with letters on them. Upon picking out a couple pairs of frames and inquiring as to price, they pulled open a draw and referenced a chart of some kind. One frame was $416 but, after my insurance they would be $232.80 (my cost out of pocket). I decided to hold off for a bit and searched the web for the same frame since $416 seemed a bit high and an odd number. That's when I found the "suggested retail" of that frame to be $324.99!!! Even crazier yet, I could ORDER the frame online for $160-185 without even using my insurance! So I decided to shop around some more.



So, for the next few days I went to several other optometrists and check their frame selections. AMAZING...every single one of them HAVE their prices clearly marked on the frames! I go to order a pair of glasses only to find out Dr. Olding / Dr. MacDonald's office ALREADY BILLED my insurance for a pair of glasses and a set of frames even though I NEVER ordered a pair!!! Of course when I called their office, they are more than willing to assist me with backing out the insurance claim after I pointed out the fact that theirs this little thing called "insurance fraud!"



Well there you have it. If you dare walk into this office, talk note of the lavish wall treatments and nice furniture...after all you'll be paying for it! The only reason they got 1 star is because I'm not allowed to give no stars...and Dr. Olding was at least friendly.
