We love Hunan, its our favorite go to Chinese/Sushi restaurant in town. Christine, the hostess is absolutely lovely.

Some of the worst Chinese food...

Some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had! We went in expecting a good, sit-down Chinese meal. The menu said something about "gourmet, exotic Asian food." What I got was dry, stale, probably pre-packaged, frozen and re-heated food. I couldn't even finish it, and I couldn't imagine taking it home and re-heating it myself. I've had much better Chinese food from the little take out places, at half the price! It seems all they're doing is serving cheap, low-quality ingredients at a gourmet price in a fairly well decorated place in an upscale location. We were fooled, hopefully you won't be.

GOOD MIX OF ASIAN FOOD

All the selections we tried were excellant in both flavor and presentation. My particular favorites were the tempura rolls (Volcano & ???). The mix of Japenese, Chinese and Indian foods is just right and not overwhelming. (Note: the Indian breads were still not available on my last visit.) The soups were also good, I have tried the Miso and Hot & Sour. The Garlic Chicken & String Beans is another favorite (from Hunan Cafe).

The main improvements needed are getting a liquor license (although it is a LOT less expensive to bring your own bottle of wine!) and partitioning off smaller dining areas (which could be done fairly easily be done with their current arrangement.) Right now it feels to wide open. Love Pacifica's waterwall entry, this really makes you feel you are entering into a very special restaurant...which is correct! I'll look forward to going again soon! Good luck Pacifica!
