Cornerstone Commissioning, Inc is a Massachusetts based corporation providing commissioning services for owners of biomedical and biocontainment facilities. Cornerstone represents the owner, with an unbiased focus on environmental control. We are not designers, contractors or construction managers. Our role is to use a quality process to document and verify that facility performance meets clearly defined objectives and criteria based on the needs of the institution and its research. Commissioning requires unique system and people skills. Dan Frasier, PE, co-founder of Cornerstone, has more than 20 years of experience in HVAC system design, selection, installation, service, operation and commissioning. Cornerstone has a proven record in leading teams to deliver fully functional buildings. Dan is the lead instructor for the Eagleston Institute's Biocontainment Facility Commissioning course and has written two editions of the Phoenix Controls Vivarium Sourcebook, now a 70 page publication discussing environmental control of Laboratory Animal Facilities. He has also served on industry technical and standards committees for laboratories and vivariums, and speaks at many national and regional events in the HVAC, Biosafety and Laboratory Animal Science industries. We are members of AALAS, ABSA and ASHRAE.
