Arkfeld did not accurately appraise our horse property and refused to look at equitable comps. He was hired as a 3rd party appraiser from a prospective buyer's lender. We have a unique farmette - a professional surfaced, lit and fenced in riding ring, a brand new pole barn with tongue and groove lumber, concrete center aisle and stalls with proper depth gravel and necessary drainage. The man took at falling down block barn and a pole barn large enough to house a dump truck! There was no consideration for the riding ring whatsoever. If you are going to be an appraiser, then learn how to appraise ----- MidAtlantic Farm Credit performed an appraisal for us less than 10- months ago it came in $50K hire than dear Mr. Arkfelds. So how, pray tell did it go down when the market has done nothing but go up... its lack of knowledge and education on Arkfelds part. When you appraise incorrectly, you are messing with people's lives.

I spoke with Adam about my appraisal because he messed up on it and it's my day to close. his mess up takes less than 5 minutes to fix and when I spoke to him he was very rude. I asked if he received it and he said yes I have it and I said well is it going to get done today because if not then I need to try to get an extension.... He said we'll see anything else? Then before I could even say No he hung up on me. This is no way how you handle business in the business world. I suggest to never ever use them and if your lender is going to you request anyone else besides them. It must be nice to get to say that you can GO HOME AFTER WORK. I don't understand his business at all. I've never seen anything like it.
