Provided by YP.comI have been seeing Dr. Gustin for over a year with great results. She is very knowledgeable and an asset to her field. I highly recommend her to anyone with headaches. She had quite a challenge with my case as I didn't respond well to quite a few dieutics but she was very concerned and made the adjustments. She isn't a doctor to throw narcotics at you and not look for the root cause of your problems. This is very important to me. I have been without a headache for over a year now and it isn't because of pain killers. Highly recommend Dr. Gustin and if the doctors are half as good as she is, I recommend the entire office.

Provided by YP.comI was going to Dr. Gustin. She had me take some meds and did a mri. She got upset because I was not satisfied she was doing everything she could to get me back on duty. She gave me referral to UVA,and I finally got my FMLA papers back, but she refused to give me new light duty chit. I said I'm still working, just not full duty. I spoke with Jackie on the phone about this and was basically told it was my problem; that I should go on disability. She was not nice and not professional.

Provided by YP.comI had a stroke and was hospitalized at WMC. Dr. Choi was assigned to me as my neurologist. Unfortunately it was the worst decision made for me. As others have said the front desk receptionists are the rudest people you could possibly deal with. I have only had one office visit with Dr. Choi who told me that he wanted me to be off work 1 to 2 months and that before I could drive again he wanted me to take a field vision test. It took him weeks to get the note for me to hand into workmans comp. in the mean time I too the vision test and passed it. When I got the note for work it said I couldn't return for 4 to 6 months - big difference, and then his office called to tell me I needed to take another test with a driving school that was going to cost me $400 out of my pocket. I ended up going to DMV and the lady there said he had no authority to do that as my drivers license had not been restricted. Do not go here if you can help it.

Provided by YP.comAbsolutely DO NOT go to this office!! They have very little interest in what your problem is and only show interest in making money. They WILL NOT bother to advise you if your insurance will be accepted or if it is IN NETWORK. They will then allow you to run up a bill that THEY KNOW your insurance won't agree to pay. And then even when you make payment arrangements to pay your balance, they will sick their awful collection agency after you to get paid for doing exactly NOTHING! Take my word for it, and the MANY OTHERS I see leaving reviews, they DO NOT CARE if your medical issue is handled and only care about getting as much money from you as possible! Good luck.

Provided by YP.comI have been going to Dr. Choi for over a year now. I have trigeminal neuralgia and can honestly say that without his help and persistence I may have blown my head off by now. He has tried many different combinations of drugs until we have found the best, most comfortable route of treatment. He is always super busy and tries to explain things the best he can in a short period of time. The answer isn't always what we want to hear but at least I have some answers now. I may have to call twice sometimes but when he is the only game in town, that is to be expected. I think he is a very qualified doctor and has helped me immensely.

Provided by YPmobileAs far as the doctors, I haven't had an issues with them. My issues are with the rest of the staff. Let's start with the front desk staff that checks you in at the window, they are extremely rude, it's almost like they hate their job. Every time I come
In for an appointment Jeannie is the one that checks me in and she is very very stuck up and very nasty, the other girl, I don't know her name but she is the same, she never says hello and doesn't open the window to let you know she will be with you shortly, she just ignores you!! How is this good customer service?? How is this ok? They are the first point of contact for the office, no wonder all the reviews here are bad!!! It's a shame everyone is that rude! The triage nurse, never returns my phone call. I've called numerous times on the same day to get in contact and she never calls back, EVER!! It's very disappointing to the patients, it's not ok to have staff like this in a doctors office!!! The only reason I am still coming here is because I like my doctor and it's convenient for me, otherwise i would find somewhere else to go!!

Provided by YP.comMy daughter has seizures and I found that Dr. Lyons was a specialist in the field and of sleeping disorders, which her seizures are more active at night. I was very excited about taking her to someone I felt could help her. She saw him the first visit and that was it. All visits following that were with other people. They did not let me know how much the video and EEG would be and my insurance only covered a portion and because I could not afford to pay 10% of the bill, they refused to see her again. I would not recommend this establishment for the same reasons others are saying... They are impersonal and seem to only care about the money. Find someone who cares about what you are going through and treats you like a person instead of a dollar sign.

Provided by YP.comIf I could give this group less than one star, I would. To say they are incompetent would be a compliment!
The doctor (Dr. John Choi) was lackadaisical and acted like my agony was an inconvenience to him, but his overall approach was casual. ("Is that still giving you issues?" on the day after my MRI and before telling me the results.)
I was diagnosed with a herniated disc and pinched nerve root, I had to beg for pain medication. I couldn't walk, sit or stand. Dr. Choi (and I use the term doctor loosely) required a urine drug screen because, apparently, he thought my need for pain medication was excessive and an indication that I was just after the drugs. Did I mention that I couldn't walk, sit or stand? Ridiculous!
As if that wasn't enough, I was told that he could only prescribe more pain medication after the drug screen. Then, when I called the following day to get pain meds, I was told he was out of the office for the next 3 days. I was out of luck for pain medication for three days!
This is only one example of their lack of responsiveness and incompetence.
The doctor was bad enough, but the appointment receptionists are rude, unresponsive, and have no empathy. The so-called 'triage nurse' takes at least 48 hours to respond, if she responds at all. 48 hours for triage?! To get a response, I called every 20 minutes and then it still took 3 hours to get a call back.
If you can go get a different doctor, do it! I only went there because I was referred by the emergency room at Winchester Medical Center, which as a whole went from being one of the top 100 hospitals in the nation to beyond terrible in less than 6 years.

Provided by YPmobileI went here after an EarNoseThroat specialist referred me because they couldn't figure out why I lost my sense of smell. They treated me for migraine headaches which is not why I went there. Year later I can't be seen, get a prescription refill, or get my blood test results because I still owe them money...and I still can't smell.

Provided by YP.comIt was nearly impossible to make an appointment with the front desk, this is after just getting out of the hospital!. I came in for migraines and possible seizures. DR. Henry ran a few tests and told me it was all "in my head" He didn't do an MRI which actually found tumors. I am really NOT IMPRESSED!

Provided by YP.comI would strongly suggest finding another neurologist. I was seeing Dr. Katherine Gustin for what was thought to be migraines. I expressed concern that a scan had not been done. She was very flip and said "your insurance will not pay for it." Really?? Is that something you want to tell a patient after the patient informed you that a relative passed away due to a brain tumor?? After wasting over a year, I went to an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor who ordered a CT Scan and voila! I had sinus issues which surgery was needed and scheduled to rectify. Had Dr. Gustin only ordered a CT Scan, I could have saved time missed from work, saved money, and found relief sooner rather than later.
