In 1979, Dane Harman was determined to reduce his family’s high electric bills. An experienced welder with an eye for architecture, Dane designed and built a wood stove to heat his home. It worked so well, neighbors asked him to build one for them, too. Dane agreed, and was soon overwhelmed with orders. He had outgrown his garage and couldn’t keep up with production. This flux in demand drove him to form the Harman Stove Company. Dane’s inspiration was based around creating superior stoves. Stoves that were, in his words, "Built to a Standard, Not a Price". More than three decades later, this tagline remains a guiding principle of every product emblazoned with the Harman name. Superlative craftsmanship, advanced technology, easy operation and unique options artfully blend into every model—and solidify Harman as the industry leader in home heating solutions. Harman is based in Halifax, Pennsylvania. The company produces and manufactures more than 36 models of stoves, inserts and central heating units burning wood, coal, pellets, corn and other alternative biomass fuels. The company also holds several patents and award-winning technologies. Harman was acquired by Hearth & Home Technologies, Inc. (HHT) in 2007. HHT is the largest producer and manufacturer of fireplaces and hearth products in the world. The addition of Harman to the HHT brand portfolio has enabled the company to thrive both domestically and abroad. Expect distinctive, powerful and responsible products. Expect Harman.

We asked Hinton &Sons, (Cozy Barn), to provide an estimate for a Pellet Stove Insert.
George Hinton, owner came to our home, measured the opening and advised they would have to remove the marble around the fireplace and add a piece to cover a 5 inch spacing. We agreed to a price and scheduled the install.
Nathan, George's son, arrived this morning to install, looked at the fireplace and advised he is unable to install because of the marble work.
I advised him that his father spent an hour measuring, taking notes, and was fully aware of the work to be performed.
Nathan then advised that there was a "falling out" with his father and he is no longer involved in the business.
They then left, with no recommendations or suggestions.

Cozy Barn, (Hinton&Sons), is mismanaged by a dysfunctional "team".
Sorry I ever walked in their door.
