I had a pleasant experience at the library. The staff helped me find what I need, pointed my daughter to the Children's page of their website to find homework help, and gave graphic novel recommendations to my son.

This is by far, the WORST library I have ever been to! First of all, we have a rude, ignorant, snobby, bitter "director" named Susan. Right here is the WHOLE CAUSE of the dreadful library experience and the falling apart of this library -- HER! You would think that when a patron of the library walks in, she would at least say "Hi." ABSOLUTELY NOT. All she does is just look at you like your a criminal and turns her head. This old prude is defiantly NOT a people person. Not to mention, she scolds her employees in front of patrons (which I have personally seen). I truly feel sorry for some of those workers. She just sits in her little office -- eyes glues to the computer screen. And when the "once in a blue moon" occurs (actually leaves her office), she just walks right past you like your not even there. She also has these stupid, aggressive signs posted all over the library. I guess she thinks that us patrons are stupid or something. It's ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I think the worst part that I have personally experienced, and believe me, there were a lot of worst parts I have personally experienced, would be how she answered the phone with me once. I called a few five measly minutes before the library opened -- just to ask a question. She rudely answered the phone saying "Hello!" I thought I accidentally dialed someone's home. I asked if she could help me with a question about a specific book. She said "Were not open yet. We open in five minutes!" That's not what I asked you lady. And she never even helped me with my question. What a waste! Believe me, I could go on and on about her -- but moving on. Second of all, we have another old grump behind the desk. It's an old woman with glasses and short blonde/brown hair. Not friendly at all. When you go to the desk, she just takes your book and glares at you. She never utters a word. Like they say, misery likes company. Lastly, this library's books aren't the most organized. I was looking for a specific book in a specific section, and couldn't find it. I walked around, just to look at other books, and miraculously, the book I was looking for was right in front of me. IN A DIFFERENT SECTION. That has happened to me twice. How hard can it be to properly place a book on a shelf? All in all, I would NOT recommend going here. This library does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to draw the public in or make them feel welcomed, like a real library should. Instead, it pushes them away. This place is cold, drab, and has a miserable atmosphere. I was in there not too long ago and was the ONLY PERSON in the entire library. From a business perspective, that's not a good thing. But I guess when you have miserable workers and unorganized books, that what's you get. If it wasn't for the computers in there, NOBODY would be in this library. It's literally like a ghost town. You can see the tumble-weed blowing. And I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this place closes. I personally believe that a library is an important part of a community. It's where kids, teens, and adults go to learn, read, do work, and just have fun. But this "director" is RUINING that fun, library experience. She honestly needs to LEAVE and stay as FAR AWAY from this library as possible, to maybe give this struggling library a chance. I know that myself and six other people are tired of her and her ignorant ways. I think the next appropriate step is to contact the board. I doubt they will do anything (get rid of her) because not many people have a degree in Library Science. So replacing her would be difficult. I 100% give her back what she gives to me -- an ATTITUDE. Nobody should have to put up with this. If somebody feels like they are being treated like trash, contact the board and MAKE A COMPLAINT!
