Windsor Congregational Christian Church has a covenantal relationship with the United Church of Christ ( UCC ) whose Headquarters are in Cleveland, Ohio. The UCC was founded in 1957 with the merger of two denominations with very similar theology and church polity, the Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Congregational Christian Churches. The characteristics of the United Church of Christ can be summarized in part by the key words in the names of the four denominations that formed our union: Christian, Reformed, Congregational, Evangelical.
