Provided by YP.comI would like to respond to the last review. There were two people involved in this, Ben and Dorrie, so any one who is answering for them is all speculation. We have since gotten the car back after getting the Sheriff involved, but you might ask yourselves this question, why did Ben answer the ad (feel free to e-mail me I have the original ad) and pick up the car, if in fact he was worried about the law. If you look around the internet you will see he did a similar thing to a Vet. My advice is, BEWARE! Ask around, there are many people unhappy with his business tactics. You do not have to take my word on this by any means, but I run a business myself and we do everything we can to satisfy the customer. Instead of Ben being reasonable, he chose to make it this such a miserable experience over $200.00. As far as the husband goes, he is still deployed.

Provided by YP.comLet me start by saying that I have known Ben for over 30 years and that I have helped him in his business office. I feel that "dorriecs116" slanderous account of what happened with her daughter's car needs corrected with some FACTS. First and foremost, to sell a car, you need to be the legal owner of the car. Fact: daughter did not transfer the title into her name, therefore, she was not the legal owner. Legally, Ben cannot purchase a motor vehicle without paperwork (title) even if just for parts. He waited for months, storing this vehicle, taking up valuable space for them to come up with a title so he COULD purchase it. If the daughter was the legal owner, then it would not have been a problem for her to replace the title. Ben is not going to jeopardise his business by illegally buying a junk car. So, my advise to dorriecs116, instead of chastising Ben for trying to do things the legal way, teach your daughter some responsibility. When you buy a car, put the title in your name and don't leave it in the glove compartment because the car just might get stolen and it will turn up missing.
I want to thank your son-in-law for his service and pray for his safe return. I do, however, find it very sad that you would use his station to gain sympathy for your daughter's ineptness.

Provided by YP.comBen at Hart Road Auto is unfortunate to have wanted to help "dorriecs116" with her daughter's car problems. Not only was she making all the decisions regarding her daughter's car, she is obviously badmouthing Ben to excuse her poor decisions. Her daughter should have ordered a title, her daughter should have talked to Ben, and her daughter should thank Ben for storing the car for any amount of time. Ignorance is no excuse, madam, as exhibited by your obvious intent to smear Ben and Hart Road Auto by broadcasting skewed facts.

My son in law is in the military in Florida. They have two kids and he is overseas. Her only car was stolen from our driveway. We got the car back and it wasn t worth the cost to fix. I put the car on Craigslist to sell for parts and in the ad said there is no title, it would have to be ordered. Ben, the owner of Hart Rd called on the ad and said he would like to purchase it for $200.00. Since he was a local business I said he could pick up the car and I would come get the money. He refuses to pay my daughter the $200.00! Her husband is serving our country overseas and could use the money. Instead of just paying the $200.00 Him and Chuck get on the phone and call me horrible names. It s not really about the $200.00 as much is it is about principal of the thing. What type of man would steal a car from a girl whose husband is serving our county after he knew it had already been stolen once. The sad part is Ben s dad ran that business and was a straight forward honest guy, unfortunately he passed away. Ben took it over and lost his valuable employees, sells junk, and does business transactions such as the one he did to us. What a disappointment for his father who worked hard to have have a fair and honest business and a son who does not respect that.
