Provided by YP.comMy husband (34yr) and I (25 yr)recently went to Texas for our honeymoon due to the oil spill in Florida. The hotel is close to several restaurants(including wataburger that's right across the road.must try),close to the highway(easy access/not loud), and about 20 minutes to the beach. It was a beautiful drive to the beach. My hubby found a golden needle in a haystack with this hotel. The customer service was EXCELLENT!!! We never had to ask for towels,a clean room or anything. When we first got there they were cleaning the room. We were missing the remote for the t.v. I was about to ask for one but they came to the room 1st with one. The rooms were much cleaner than I ever expected(bathroom floor could of been a little cleaner but had tons of towels for that..I'm almost a germ a phobic). I stayed in room 120 on the bottom floor. I could not hear the people above us with or without the t.v. on. The only problem we had was the parking lot is small for the spaces and someone hit my side mirror with her elbow as she was unloading her car. Which made my alarm go off. It was no big deal and the lady apologized. The bed was comfortable and I did NOT feel yucky when climbing into it. I also loved the 5 fluffy pillows they left. I always use 2/3 and my hubby uses 1. The sofa had a fold out bed. It would have been a great for 3-4 people room. For their billing it was great. We called 3 days in advance to let them know we needed a room. They held the room and we did not pay until we left. We also left a day earlier than planned and we did not have to pay the last day since we checked out on time. We were able to have a wonderful time and save some money. They hotel also severs breakfast. They had good coffee says my hubby. They had FRESH bagels(i only tried the raisin one and it was good), 2 types of cereal, fresh milk, apple/orange juice, banana, and more. The hotel is a straight drive down to the beach. You stay on the same road the drive there. It was very convenient. It is close to all the bait shops, N.A.P.A auto parts, and Beaumont is about a 20 minute drive for major stores. It is the perfect distance to the beach, bait shops for fishing, licenses you can get at N.A.P.A, great dollar general store that had everything we needed. We went to dollar general like 5 times. Thanks for the aloe lotion. It was partial cloudy while we were there and I was still burned the 1st day! All I can say is WOW. For parents I would just advise that the top less/speed o beach is to the left as we found out. When you get to the end of the road at the beach you go left or right. If you go left don't go past about 3 miles and your fine. If you go right go about 4 miles to get sandier beach. You might want to take food. Due to the hurricanes in 2008 not much has been rebuilt out there yet. There was 1 gas station opened and 2 whole in the wall places to eat. You want to try on the right side of the road a little shack. It had a red sign that reads hot food. I was scared to try it but it was great. She made the fries fresh with red potatoes and great cheese burger. We did 2 orders when we should of only made 1. In the gas station there is a Hispanic restaurant. It has a great beef fajita(without the green or red sauce). Also while your on the beach watch out for man of war. They are a bright blue. Make sure your kids know to stay away. There were about 4-5 about ever 5 feet. Also if you drive on the beach like we did, the pop noise comes from them. I hope you have a great time like we did if you decide to go.
