Provided by YP.comI have found the store staff to always be helpful and in good spirits. I just read a negative review, and it makes me wonder if a cheerful customer might produce a cheerful response from staff? A warm smile and patience while waiting in line at the register may work a miracle in someone's life. It seems to make my experience in this nice store a very pleasant one! Thank you, Grocery Outlet Staff. Koleta Wells

Provided by YP.comMost of the cashiers are extremely rude here. If they didn't have such good prices on organic foods and wine I wouldn't shop here. I may not shop here anymore after the experience I had today. Every time I buy a bottle of wine here my ID is rudely demanded without so much as a hello or greeting. Today was no exception, the woman practically shouted "I need to see ID!" without saying hello or treating me like a human being. As I was walking out the door she pointed at me and shouted "Your ID expires this month!". I found this to be both offensive and embarrassing. I have no problem showing my ID to buy alcohol. I actually consider it a compliment. I don't however enjoy being treated with disrespect and rudeness. This is not the first time this woman has demanded my ID and treated me rudely, she does this every time I come in and she's not the only one. I wouldn't have written this if it was just one experience, but it happens almost every time I come in to the store. Grocery Outlet you need to get your act together and hire employees who actually understand the concept of quality customer service.

Provided by YP.comWe have strict return policies that are posted on every register and entrance. Unfortunately due to having so many fraudulent refunds and theft, we have had to protect ourselves by having these policies inplace.

Provided by YP.comMy 72 year old mother that lives just feet away from Grocery Outlet in Winston returned a bag of bananas that were all split. The owners daughter said she would need a receipt for the return.
1. Who keeps grocery receipts?! especially when they know it's their bagged/packaged bananas. They are always so green, you have to leave them in the bag for a few days before they even ripen.
2. My mother had other groceries and told the clerk/owners daughter that she will take her business elsewhere and left the items she was going to purchase along with the faulty bananas.
They just lost about $400.00 a month in revenue along with my, her son, business of about $150.00/mo.
These are small business owners that really promoted and touted themselves as part of the local community before moving here. Now they screw over old women over a batch of bananas.
If this is how you truly are as a business...Go somewhere else! Our community is about respect and doing the right thing!
