Provided by YPmobileWe placed my dad here in the Locked Alzheimer's ward. 2012. In 5 weeks he lost 12 lbs and "escaped" over an 8 foot fence two times. At the time, there were 3 new people in the facility as managers or supervisors. We were told that there would be activities during the day as their. "Road to rediscovery " program. The activities were offered only in the regular senior living side. The Alzheimer's side was the forgotten side, no pun intended. Several times my sister went by to find that the staff had not rounded up my dad for meal time. He was hard of hearing and in an unfamiliar place. We kept asking for his weight because he looked like he had lost some. After being told several times that the scales were on the other side my sister asked on a weekend and the staff member pulled the scale right out. 12 lbs lost in 5 weeks. We were sickened by the thought that he had been hungry. We emergently moved him. He is now unable to walk or feed himself but has gained 7 lbs in a facility that eating is a priority. I did report them to the state and nothing came from it.
