I've always loved being active - participating in soccer and tennis, dance and downhill skiing - as I grew up in New Jersey and went to school in upstate New York. That passion provided a natural push toward a career in physical therapy, which would allow me to help others heal after injuries. \n After graduation, I moved to North Carolina to complete a neurologic physical therapy residency at Winston-Salem State University. It deepened my interest in helping patients whose bodies aren't functioning properly due to sudden or long-term issues in the brain, spinal cord, muscles or nerves. It was during my residency when a family member was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease, also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS. This strengthened my resolve to focus my expertise in helping patients with neurologic conditions address both their visible and hidden needs. \n I am a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy. I am a board-certified neurologic clinical specialist. \n Everyone who comes to us for help has different wants and needs. My aim is to build a positive and trusting relationship to help each person regain independence and achieve his or her specific goals. \n In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, biking and, when I can, hitting the ski slopes out West or up North.
