The Southeast Cancer Control Consortium, also known as SCCC, is a nonprofit organization that works to promote the evaluation of modern cancer care. Founded in 1987, it offers nationally approved cancer clinical trials and prevention studies, as well as provides public and professional education for the prevention and control of cancer. The Southeast Cancer Control Consortium collaborates with various community hospitals and professionals in the development and promotion of coordinated programs that reduce morbidity and mortality due to cancer. It is comprised of more than 100 surgeons, urologists, and medical and radiation oncologists. The organization is the Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP) funded by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The Southeast Cancer Control Consortium is located in Winston-Salem, N.C.
